Rummage sales, entertainment await in East End
Superior's East End is prepped to shine Saturday, Sept. 15, during East End Family Fun Day. The annual event includes food, music, games, a pet parade, car show and miles of rummage sales.
One person's trash is another person's treasure during the annual East End rummage sale, which stretches for miles along East Second Street and throughout the neighborhood. Everyone is invited to explore downtown East End to sample local food and drink while enjoying games, music and a chance to meet neighbors.
The car show takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. along East Fifth Street. Registration is at 9:30 a.m. in the main tent at the intersection of 22nd Avenue East and East Fifth Street. Cost to enter is $5.
A pet parade begins at 12:30 p.m. Registration is shortly before the parade in the main tent. Outfits are encouraged. Friendly pets who interact well with humans and other pets are welcome.
Wind up the day with Hudy Bar's "Party for the People," featuring live music from Most Wanted from 3-7 p.m. and The Country from 8 p.m. to midnight.
