Husky emergency team honored at Fall Fest

Mentor Superior honors the Husky Energy emergency response team at the second annual Fall Fest, a free family-friendly event, 1-4 p.m. Oct. 13 at Barker's Island.

Fall Fest is a free community event for families and children of all ages. Local organizations, including Husky's ERT will have large equipment to explore. Mayor Jim Paine will be there to express the community's appreciation for the exceptional efforts of the Husky ERT during the refinery fire.

Other local businesses participating include JR Jensen Construction, Enbridge, J & B Trucking and the Superior Fire Department. There will be a K-9 demonstration at 3 p.m. from the Superior Police Department.

Mentor Superior was established in 2012 and its mission is to assist youth in their development into healthy and contributing members of society by offering mentoring programs that foster relationships with positive adult role models.
