Get information and vote Aug. 14
Women voting has only been allowed since 1920. In 1924, Native Americans were granted the legal right to vote, but did the communities allow it? Poll tax was not prohibited until 1964. Eighteen-year-olds got the right to vote in 1971.
So, how many people will vote in the next election, Aug. 14? And again on Nov. 6?
Or do you prefer giving up your suffrage, for which many have died?
For accurate election and voting registration information, visit your local town or city clerk, or check out the websites, myvote.wi.gov or elections.wi.gov. They have more information than needs to be printed here.
