Tiger boys win Hayward CC title

The Northwestern High School boys finished in first place and the girls in third at the Hayward Cross Country Invitational Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Hatchery Creek Park.

Bloomer’s Cole Michaelsen won the boys race in 17 minutes, 43.5 seconds.

Bennett Nelson led Northwestern with a sixth-place finish in 19:30.9.

Lana Blumer of Chetek-Weyerhaeuser won the girls race in 21:28.6.

Abby Nelson of the Tigers finished fourth in 22:45.7.
